What's the difference between MyTouch 3G and Nexus One? Yea for those of you who are familiar with these phones would say it's a major difference, but really is it not just the same shit in a different toilet? Some may say no because the Nexus is running on Google's new Firmware "Eclair 2.1" and MyTouch is using "Donut 1.6"
I recently got my hands on a MyTouch 3G that was running on "Donut 1.6", I got word that this device can be Put through a series of 3 processes taking a total of 30 Minutes Tops that will unlock and UpGrade your MyTouch 3G's firmware to "Eclair v2.1" Props to H.P.B.'s Prada Man.
So last night after watching 3 YouTube Videos I was able to UnRoot, Flash the Recovery Screen, and Root my My Touch to v2.1 and I'll tell you I do not see the difference from v1.6 to v2.1 yea they changed the looks, but everything seems the same to me. The Power Sequence features the NEXUS One's unique boot screen which I find cool. You can also use live wallpaper which isn't all that to me, but if you do this process to your MyTouch you can be the judge.
After all of that I'm left wondering is the Nexus One worth all that hype? Yea it features a Snap Dragon Processor but is it that much of a difference in usage? Take the chance and do the 3 step process to your MyTouch and You tell Me... Oh Yea G1 Users have no fear... You Too can do this same procedure. Good Luck folks enjoy!
